Mr. Anton (Tony) Fleckenstein, 65 of Jackson, GA., the Harbor Shores Community, died early Wednesday morning, July 21, 2004. He was born in Dodge, North Dakota, August 8, 1938, son of the late Paul and Ottilia Herauf Fleckenstein. He served in the U.S. Army for 28 years, retiring as a CW4. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and was very active in the Knights of Columbus where he was a Fourth Degree Knight.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Zinner of Jackson, GA; children, James Fleckenstein , Sharpsburg, GA; Douglas Fleckenstein , Senoia, GA; Audry Dunbar, Loganville, GA; Saundra McLarney, Hampton, VA; and Darla Morgan, Tucson, AZ; step daughters, Michelle Knight, Brooks, GA; Gennine Zinner, Boston, MA; and Sharon Kimensky, Lands Down, PA; fifteen grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Leo Fleckenstein, Eva Scheet, Larry Fleckenstein, Paul Fleckenstein, all of Bismarck, ND; Paul Fleckenstein, Mandan, ND; and Paula Schmidt, Dickinson, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6-8 and a Rosary will be said in the chapel at 8:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Jackson. Father Mike Sherliza and Deacon Bob Readdy will officiate. Interment will be in the Jackson City Cemetery.
