While at Lowell High School, she was very active and participated in girl's volleyball, the softball team, Spanish Club, Girls Gym Night, she was a Major in the Girls Battalion. and she headed the girl's athletic flag drill team. After high school, she received her teaching certificate after 2 years of study at Lowell Teacher's College (later Lowell State College which merged with Lowell Technological Institute, then formed the University of Lowell, then the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and today known as the South Campus of UMass Lowell).

She taught elementary school for 10 years in Cohasset, Norfolk, Massachusetts. Three of her siblings, Val, Irene and Jan, were also in education, and Irene was teaching elementary school in Dracut, Middlesex, Massachusetts, where HAROLD FRANCIS 'HAL' UDELL's much younger brother, Don, attended. When Irene met for parent conferences with Don's mother, the two women became friends. Over the years they discussed family members and later no doubt discussed their single eligible relatives, so that's how 'Bunny' met her fiancé.

She married HAROLD FRANCIS 'HAL' UDELL on 27 Feb 1938, in Swansea, Bristol, Massachusetts. At that time, there was still a legal prohibition by the School Boards against married women teachers in public/state schools, so she had to quit her teaching job. After marriage, they lived in Dracut, Massachusetts, and when her husband got a job with U.S. Public Health Service in 1947, they moved to Dumont, Bergen, New Jersey. They moved to Amityville, Suffolk, New York in 1956 where her husband worked for New York State. In order for her husband to keep his Nassau County job in 1973, they moved to Lido Beach, Nassau, New York. In 1980, after her husband's formal retirement, they moved to their last home in York Beach, York, Maine, where they had added on a large office to the 'Twin Lights' beach home where 'Hal' kept working as an engineering consultant for several more years. 'Bunny' and 'Hal' had two children during their marriage, Skip Udell and Donna Elizabeth Udell.

She loved the Lord Jesus as her Savior. She was a member of Saint Christopher by the Sea Parish in York, York, Maine. She volunteered for a local hospital auxiliary. She loved playing bridge with her friends, badminton, ping pong, boating with her husband, and walking on the beach. She especially enjoyed the large York Beach home inherited in 1967 from her husband's uncle LIONEL WALTER 'JACK' UDELL 1890–1966. They had spent their weekends for 13 years traveling to York Beach to repair and rebuild the home.

She died at the age of 76 on 27 Dec 1984 after a tragic hospital medication error in Portland, Cumberland, Maine, and her earthly remains are buried in the cemetery behind the First Parish Church in York Village, York, Maine, awaiting the Trumpet Call to Everlasting Life.
