Anna Rottinghaus was born in Oldenburg, Germany, in the Alsace Loraine territory, on March 28, 1868. It was here she spent her childhood days. When six years old, she came with her parents to America, and they settled in Kansas at Seneca. On April 29, 1890 she married Herman Henry Willenbring. She also leaves seven grandchildren, one sister and one brother, Mrs. Elizabeth Nordhus and Bernard Rottinghaus of Seneca, Kan., and a host of friends and neighbors. Mrs. Willenbring was a faithful ember of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Altar Society. She possessed a strong character and an old fashioned hospitality that never lost an opportunity to lend a helping hand to friend, neighbor and passerby. She was her husband's helper in all he did; supported movements for the community betterment and above and above all was a devoted mother, energetic and capable. Funeral services were conducted at the Immaculate Conception church on Thursday morning.
