A wedding took place in Pocahontas last week, but we did not learn of it until the following item appeared in the Palmer Press: "The marriage of John Keleher of Lake township to Miss Gertrude Miller of Lincoln township, took place Monday morning at the Sacred Heart church in Pocahontas, Father Pape officiating. Only a few intimate friends and relatives were present. The bride is a popular young lady and has a large circle of friends and acquaintances while the groom is a young man of sterling character and a farmer of unusual ability. the young couple left the same afternoon on a honeymoon trip through Nebraska and upon their return will make their home on the Keheler farm in Lake township. They have the heartiest congratulations and best wishes of a large circle of friends."
Note: Gertrude is the mother of Paul John Keleher, born 7 April 1914 in Palmer, Iowa.
