Carl, 96, North Port, FL, formerly 119 South Main St., St. Marys, died at Tidewell Hospice.

He was the son of Henry and Lola (Gallimore) Snethkamp. On Aug 13, 1938, he married Virginia Dine, who preceded him in death. On Jun 18, 1994, he married Dorothy Stroudt, who survives in North Port, FL.

Also surviving are two sons: James (Ruth Ann) St. Marys, and Tony, New Bremen; a daughter, Josie Goodwin, Englewood; a brother, Glen, St. Marys; six grandchildren: Melissa Wallace, Nancy Henne, Sally Moore, Emily Rasor, Scott Snethkamp and Steve Snethkamp; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Deceased are an infant son, Billy; and a sister, Ruth Burris.

He was a 1933 graduate of St.Marys Memorial High School. He had worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys and retired in 1981 as the President of St.Marys Iron and Steel Company. He was a member of Idlewild Men's Club, St.Marys; Sertoma; the Knights of Columbus and the Lima Elks. He loved golfing and was a longtime member of "The Iron Men" a local musical group, that performed at festivals and parties. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St.Marys, and San Pedro Catholic Church, North Port, FL.
