Lina Crain at an early age, moved with her parents and family to Eltopia where she spent her early years and was educated. In 1913 she, Miss Lina Druen and Fern Crain were married at Pasco, They farmed at Eltopia until 1927 when they moved to the Big Bend Country and, in 1935, moved to Sunnyside. She with her husband owned and operated a service station and store known as Crain Service and later Lincoln Service which they operated until 1945. Her husband died April 12, 1963, and she continued to make her home in Sunnyside.

Lina was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church, Valley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and was responsible for organizing hospital volunteers. She served over 8,000 hours as a volunteer to the hospital. She was also a member of Business and Professional Women, Sunnyside Grandmothers Club, Sunnyside Willingdoers Club, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Inez Rebekah Lodge, and was Past Noble Grand of the Granger Rebekah Lodge.

In 1984, she received the Governor's Distinguished Volunteer Award for the State of Washington for her many years of volunteer service.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Olsen and Mrs. Ruby Benson. Two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One niece also survives. She is preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

They were among the first couples married in the Franklin County courthouse when it was built, and their names are inscribed with the other couples in the top of the dome.
