Marie, 89, Osgood, died at 8:19 a.m., at Dorothy Love Retirement Community.

She was the daughter of Walter and Anna (Martino) Lorton. On Jun 26, 1943, in Osgood, she married Joseph J. Dirksen, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons: David (Deb), Bradford, and Bernard (DeeDee), Lima; two daughters: Donna (Thomas) Pleiman, Sidney, and Anne Hamilton, New Bremen; a brother, Bernard (Doris), Hot Springs, AR; ten grandchildren: Jeff Pleiman, Craig Pleiman, Amy Pleiman, Lynn Jasper, Derek Dirksen, Jessica Dirksen, Shawn Dirksen, Matthew Hamilton, Megan Hamilton and Marcus Hamilton; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Deceased are three brothers: Felix, Wilfred and Arnold; and three sisters: Mary Heistand, Betty Westgerdes and Luella Kessler.

A homemaker, she had been employed at Goodyear. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, St. Barbara's Ladies Sodality, former sacristan at St. Nicholas, and Knights of St. John Auxilary, Maria Stein. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed needlework and making peach pie & apple dumplings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, with Rev. David Zink officiating.
