Elizabeth G. MURPHY, Horseheads, NY; formerly of Canton, NY died Saturday, February 6, 1999 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY. Elizabeth was born in Montoursville, PA on October 2, 1926 to the late Harry and Emily Belig. Elizabeth was a past member of the Pine City Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
Elizabeth is survived by a son and a daughter, two grandchildren, four step-children, several step-grandchildren, one brother, one sister, and several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Robert Murphy in 1979.
Memorial services were held February 10 (2 pm) at the Olthof Funeral Home in Elmira with the Rev. Tracy Wilder III of the St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Horseheads officiating and interment to be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville, PA.
