Concetta " Connie" B. Dimeo Gaffney, 72, of 1860 Brentwood Dr., Middletown entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at home.
She was born on March 26, 1940 in Lewistown and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary DeRoss Dimeo.
Connie was an active member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Middletown.
She was a retired registered nurse from Manor Care, Harrisburg.
Connie's greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the beach.
In addition to her parents Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Gaffney Jr. who passed away on Nov. 20, 2009.
She is survived by four daughters; Lori wife of Mark MacDonald of Middletown, Colleen wife of Rick Maurer of Harrisburg, Lisa Miller of Middletown, and Kelly wife of Jim Wenrich of Harrisburg; two sisters, Mary Jo wife of Earl Kuhn of Middletown, and Grace Wilson of Bethlehem; brother, Tom Dimeo of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in Seven Sorrows Church, 280 N. Race St., Middletown, with the Rev. Ted J. Keating as celebrant.
Burial will be in the Middletown Cemetery.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. - 10:45 A.M. at the Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middletown.
The family has requested that donations be sent to Seven Sorrows B.V.M. Building Fund, 280 N. Race St., Middletown, PA 17057 or to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
