Carol Jean Hohl of Pewaukee, formerly of Hales Corners and Bella Vista, Ark., died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006 at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 78. Carol Jean was born Jan 12, 1928 in Beloit, the daughter of August and Margarete (nee Buss) Gundlack.

She was united in marriage to Eugene Hohl on June 5, 1948 at St. Augustine Church in Bay View. Carol Jean worked for Cutler Hammer, as well as PBX in Milwaukee, where she was international president. She was a member of the Violet Club while residing in California, and also belonged to numerous card clubs. She was a Lioness in Boulder Junction, and a member of the Ladies of the Knights of Columbus.

Carol Jean will be sadly missed by her husband, Eugene of Pewaukee; her daughter, Karen (Gene) Loebig of Muskego; two grandchildren, Erica Kern and Julie (Ajet) Ziba; and six great-grandchildren, Louis, Miranda, Ethan and Madeline Kern and Austin and Kaitlyn Ziba. She is preceded in death by her parents and two great grandsons, Robert Loebig and Mason Ziba.
