I have lived in Gainesville, Texas all my life. We have lots of cemeteries in this small county. Family is very important to me. The history, people, and stories from long ago. My ex-husband actually got me started on family history and genealogy and I'm hooked. I have been working on my genealogy. I have received lots of help from family members old and new. I find new people it seems like everyday. I just started taking the pictures of the tombstones and I love it. Looking forward to hearing from people who need pictures. Most of the memorials and names I added are not related to me. I just like going to the cemeteries and taking the pictures. I even take my family with me sometimes. My daughter likes to go and take pictures too. I am really trying to photograph all the tombstones I can in Fairview Cemetery because it is the biggest one in Cooke County. There are 10,000 people buried there so it will take some time.
