Bio
I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up attending family reunions and learning about family history through two great aunts who gave me a love of family history and an interest in learning more.
With an elementary education degree from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas I taught in the public schools for 27 years.
With over 50 years of experience researching family history I have taught Genealogy at Tarrant County College and have spoken at many genealogical societies. In 2006 I was the Conference Chair for the Texas State Genealogical Society Conference in Fort Worth. In 2012 I was the Vendor/Venue Chair for the conference, again in Fort Worth.
I am President of Historic W.V.S. Allen Cemetery Association. Our cemetery was declared a Texas Historic Cemetery in May of 2001.
