Bio

I am a retired U.S. Marine Staff Sergeant living in Kenmore, NY. My interest in Find A Grave was prompted by research into my father's WW II service. He was a Marine serving onboard the USS Nashville CL-43 who was wounded on December 13, 1944 when a Kamikaze struck the ship killing or wounding 38 of 41 Marines in the Marine Detachment. I have been working on locating the graves of the Marines killed or mortally wounded that day.
I have expanded my task to include the graves of the soldiers and sailors killed or mortally wounded on the USS Nashville that day.
