Bio
The graves in St Cuthbert's Churchyard, Bewcastle, that I have entered were complied by Mike Jackson, and prepared for publication online by Andy Norris at the Bewcastle website (though the list is no longer on that site). I've uploaded the list here with permission.
Transcriptions of graves in St. Kentigern Churchyard in Caldbeck were taken from the book "Monumental Inscriptions in the Church and Churchyard of Saint Kentigern's, Caldbeck, Cumbria", published by the Caldbeck and District Local History Society. The records were originally compiled by Rev. James Wilson MA in 1896, and updated in the 1990s and 2000 by the society. I have entered them on Find a Grave with permission of John Price and members of the committee.
Transcriptions of graves in St John's Churchyard in Cotehill, Christ Church in Ivegill, St. Kentigern Churchyard in Castle Sowerby, and St. Columba Churchyard in Warcop have been done with the assistance and extensive research of Find A Grave user carwin and notes taken by Jeremy Goodwin on his visits over 20 years ago. These and many more are documented further in bookets available from the Cumbria Family History Society.
