Bio

My name is Tanner, I am currently a college student that is interested in the history of the 34th Infantry Regiment. Particularly that of A-Company, 1st Battalion, which my Great-Grandfather was a member of.

A few years ago in high school, and as a final project in my history class, students were tasked with finding out the story of their relatives who served during World War II. This piqued my interest and has since evolved into the creation of a website dedicated to those who served alongside my Great-Grandfather as a member of A-Company.

Roughly 550 men served in the ranks of A-Company between January 1, 1944, and September 2, 1945. They served in terrible conditions throughout the southwest Pacific. Their service included the islands of Hawaii, Australia, New Guinea, Biak, Leyte, Luzon, Mindoro, Mindanao, and Kyushu, Japan post-war. The whereabouts of all but 12 of these veterans has been located. I believe the memory of these men deserves to be remembered. Lest we forget all that they sacrificed.

If you are related to any of the A-Company veterans that I have left a "flower" on, I would love to connect with you. Please feel free to send me an email or message. -Tanner
