Bio

I currently manage entries that include my in-law's and my son's paternal family. No transfers of those entries or their collateral lines will be made.

Along the way, with the help of another user, I found that Alabama alone has almost thirty thousand orphaned entries. You can do a search by state, county or by birth or death. Tried to find a unique handle or id but all the good ones appear to be in use lol.

Any suggested edits sent through findagrave must remain on the topic of adding, removing or amending information in memorials.

A recent incident concerning my privacy and online safety has prompted the restriction of my family page at Tribalpages.

I don't really have any hang ups about what is presented but I may hesitate to add these things below.

• Estimated dates from census or other records with a preference for a tombstone image to back up those dates. Estimated dates will be added to the biography.

• Graphic details regarding death. Please redact death certificates. If you don't know how, just ask me. My family has lost someone to homicide; I would not want those details made public. A person's life story should reflect how they lived, not how they died.

• Census, death record abstracts and obituaries are not biographies.

• Lot information will not be amended without a specific reason for the suggestion. I will also not be removing legitimate burial location information from Oakwood Cemetery. Why someone would ask me to do that is beyond me.

Presentation of burial location information is in the eye of the beholder. No matter how you present it, it means the same thing.

Such as: Lot 1 Plat 2 vs Plat 2 Lot 1 or Square 6, Scott's Free Burying Ground vs Scott's Free Burial Ground 6.

Sage advice from a Friend of Bill W.

• Don't forget to show your teeth when you smile.

• We have two choices when it comes to our own behavior.

• Vinegar should be used in moderation.

• Make sure your cornbread is done in the middle.

• Seek peace whenever possible. Others might call this weakness but it takes strength to walk away from anything or anyone that disturbs your soul.
