#42, 825th Bomber Squadron, June 11, 1944

The B24 Bomber #42 crashed at Torretta Field upon returning from bombing the oil storage depot at Giurgiu, Romania. This is believed to be the crew's 6th mission. Little is known about the crash. I did determine that some of the crew survived.
