Marion G. Hammers directions circa 1970
On a map, trace 431 south from Central City to Twin Tunnels. The location, according to Muhlenberg County Kentucky Cemeteries Vol. 2, by Marion G. Hammers, is: "2-1/2 to 3 miles east of Highway 431 on the Hortons Chapel-Twin Tunnels Road and a few hundred feet east of Rocky Creek bridge on the n/s of road." Mrs. Hammers wrote about the cemetery after she censused it in 1970, that there were several hand made stones, also several sandstones without names or dates. Also, as of the transcription date, a large tree had fallen over a part of the cemetery. The transcriptionist believed that Joseph Jones' stone was probably under the ivy and leaves blocked by the tree. The tree roots had also unearthed some unmarked footstones.
This cemetery has been referred to as "Williams Cemetery" on some death certificates.
