Add PhotosThis cemetery is virtually defunct, and located 1500 feet south of Victory Highway on the property of the Bald Hill Nursery at 90 Ten Rod Road. The cemetery is about 1200 feet behind a large garage building. When George Harris visited this cemetery in 1880, he found it to be poorly protected and having 15 graves. When the cemetery was visited in 1992, only three field stone graves could be located. The Exeter, Rhode Island cemetery book by Sterling and Good (1994) states that three of the people buried here are Joseph Reynolds, his wife, and their son "Crazy George". This is referring to the Joseph Reynolds (1735-1791) who married Dorcas Tibbitts. However, because this cemetery sits on the 727-acre tract of land purchased by Joseph's grandfather, Joseph Reynolds (1652-1739), he and his wives and their son John and his wife are likely also buried here. John ended up owning most of his father's tract of land, and was his father's caretaker in old age. They are all likely buried here.
The geographic coordinates used here were taken from Google Earth, using the location description above. They may not be precise, but probably locate the cemetery within about 100 feet.
