Elizabeth Bauer, 99, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Mrs. Bauer was predeceased by her husband, Ludwig Bauer; son, Ludwig Gustav Bauer; son-in-law, Eric Dueber. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Else Dueber; grandchildren, Mark and Lesley Bauer, Heidi and Lance Gregg, Eric and Tina Dueber; Matthew Bauer and Rebecca Stoddard; two great granddaughters and four great grandsons; many extended family members in the United States and Germany. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, with the Rev. William Moorby, officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial for Elizabeth and her late husband, Ludwig will be in the Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth's memory to Boy Scouts of America, Troop #248, 12 Watts Rd., Lisle, NY 13797.
