Florence was born to Alexander Fitzpatrick & Charlotte (Squires) Murray in Sandstone Village, MN. She graduated from St. Cloud Teacher's College in 1923 and in 1924 married Clarence Effinger in Lancaster, MN. Florence taught in Lancaster MN & later taught in the Hingham Public Schools in Hingham MT,1953-1963, & was bookkeeper for their family-owned & operated hardware store in Hingham, 1948-1964. When Clarence died in 1964, she moved to Great Falls MT to be near her son Richard and family. In 1998, Florence joined her granddaughter in Sheidan WY, & 1999 relocated once more with her granddaughters to the Pacific Northwest. In Sept. 1999 she moved to a care facility in Sheridan OR. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Effinger in 1964; son, Richard Effinger in 1977; infant daughter Beverly who died at birth. She is survived by her granddaughters, Michelle Bleth of Sheridan OR & Barbara Shirley of Hayden ID.
