Virginia Anderson Sandidge, 90, of Lynchburg, died on Friday, November 09, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of Thomas Monroe Sandidge for 72 years. Virginia was born in Lynchburg on January 17, 1922 a daughter of the late Walter Lee Anderson and the late Lelar Johnson Anderson. In addition to her husband, Virginia is survived by one son, Phillip Sandidge and wife, Mary of Lynchburg and their two sons, Andy Sandidge and wife, Gwen of Colorado and Greg Sandidge and wife, Rebecca of New York; one daughter, Pat Holloran and husband, Pete of Lynchburg and their three children, Cindy Shoemaker and husband, Paul of Paris, France and their three children, Caitlin, Kirstin and Ian; Beth Boyer and husband, R. F. of Fredericksburg and their three children, Madison, MacKenzie and Matthew; Steve Holloran and wife, Angie of Forest and their son, Tyler; one sister, Iris Ringler and husband, Bill of Pennsylvania and their daughter, Lisa Bennett and her daughter, Sydney.

Virginia was a member of Boonsboro United Methodist Church and retired after more than 25 years of service at General Electric.

Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who was always available with her unconditional love. She will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Boonsboro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Litten officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. Private burial will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery prior to the service.
