Delores Riethmeyer Naivar, age 82, of Taylor, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2012.

Delores was born March 12, 1930 to Gottlob and Mary (Rieger) Riethmeyer in Beyersville, Texas.

She married Robert (Bob) Naivar on December 25, 1950. They shared a life that was filled with working side by side on their farm, raising their six children when times were tough, but still enjoying life with their family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, and bingo, cooking meals for family and friends, and also took out time to make homemade sausage, dill pickles, kolaches, and tamales. Delores was admired for the beautiful hand-stitched quilts that grace so many homes. She worked at Taylor High School in the cafeteria until her retirement.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, husband Robert (Bob) Naivar in 1998, sisters Lillie Wuthrich, Tillie Kuhl, Annie Shiller, Ida Mitchell, Bertha Werchan, and Ruby Naivar Howerton, and brothers Howard and Herbert Riethmeyer.

She is survived by her sister Esther Gilmore of Georgetown; her brother-in-law Benny Naivar and wife Connie of Granger; her children Raymond Naivar and wife Diane of Taylor, James Naivar and wife Betty Ann of Taylor, Bobby Naivar and wife Mary of Taylor/Austin, Jackie Miller and husband Gary of Taylor, Karen McGee and husband Rickey of Austin, and Sharon Kaderka and husband Darrell of Cypress; grandchildren Tamara Kirchner and husband Loren, Clint Naivar, Brandon Naivar and wife Tammy, Dustin Naivar and wife Kristen, Stephanie Gallegos and husband Andy, Wayne Jackson and wife Emily, Jordan Miller, Jarrett Miller, Kendra McGee, Rachel McGee, Madison Kaderka, and Camryn Kaderka; great grandchildren Tyler James (TJ) and Leianne Kirchner, Brooklyn Nicole Naivar, Moira and Nathan Gallegos, and Lillian and Garrett Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A special "Thank You" to the caregivers at Sterling House in Georgetown, Texas, where she has resided since April 2012 and called it home. She truly enjoyed the time that she lived there and was an inspiration to the other residents.

Pallbearers will be Clint Naivar, Brandon Naivar, Dustin Naivar, Wayne Jackson, Jordan Miller and Jarrett Miller.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Naivar, Glenn Naivar, Duane Kuhl, Billy Turner, Benny Janecka, and Loren Kirchner.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Condra Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by Frances Albert. Celebration of Life Mass will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's School Trust Fund¸ St. Mary's Building Fund, or to the charity of your choice.
