Sara (sic Sarah) Van Haveren

Sara Van Haveren, 94, of 2647 N. Sixth St., and the Beach Health Care Center of the Sheboygan Retirement Home, died Saturday, Oct. 23, at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

The former Sara Lanser was born Oct. 22, 1899 in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late Bernard and Nellie Hoffius Lanser.

On Sept. 18, 1924 she married Cornelius Van Haveren of Sheboygan at First Christian Reformed Church. Mr. Van Haveren preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1958.

Mrs. Van Haveren was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include six sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Carol Van Haveren, Raymond and Jane Van Haveren, James and Joyce Van Haveren, Richard and Sharon Van Haveren, Wesley Van Haveren and David Van Haveren, all of Sheboygan; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and John Stephen, Sheboygan, 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Harriet Verlare, and a very dear friend, Shari Fogle.

Preceding her in death were an infant son, a brother and sister.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. Wendell Gebben, church pastor, will officiate. Burial will take place in Wildwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the church Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established in her name for the Old Time Religion Radio Broadcast.
