Cornelia T. Sifferlin, 87, of 26 Steele Ave. died Thursday evening at her home after an extended illness.

Born April 26, 1900, in Leipsic, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Lammers) Maag.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Daughters of Isabella and the M.S.C. Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, Carl Sifferlin and Roy Sifferlin, both of Shelby, and Ray Sifferlin of Columbiana; two daughters, Sister Bernadette Sifferlin, O.S.F. of Joliet, Ill. And Mrs. Bryon (Rosemary) Bricker of Florida; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Sifferlin, in 1962; one son, Dr. John Sifferlin, in 1986; two sisters and one brother.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with her pastor, Father Bernard Kokocinski, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Turner Funeral Home where a Christian wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Most Pure Heart of Mary Memorial Fund or to the Sisters of Saint Frances Development Fund and can be left at the funeral home.
