Otto married Margaret C. Triffterer, a native of Arizona, in 1911 in Golden Colorado. After his death, she married John M. Cummings, a well known political journalist for the Philadelphia Inquirer and they moved to Penllyn, Montgomery County. She passed away sometime after John's death in 1970.
