CHARLES R. CAREY, 49, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Carey of Loudoun County, Va, near Harpers Ferry, died on Friday morning in Frederick Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for less than a day. He was a native of the Harpers Ferry area where he attended school. A conductor for the B&O Railroad, he had recently been retired because of a disability. He had been living in Brunswick with his family for a number of years.

Surviving are his widow, the former Helen Ambrose, of Brunswick; two daughters, Patricia and Loretta at home; four brothers, Vincent M. Jr and Harold F., both of Braddock Heights; Earl R. of Odenton, and Paul D. of Glen Burnie; two sisters, Mrs Ruth Gatoss and Mrs. Frances Stierstedt of Long Beach, California.

Services were held at St. Francis Catholic Church, Brunswick; interment was made in Park Heights Cemetery; arrangements by the Eackles Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry.
