Winfred Berry, 97, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Holiday Pines Manor in Woodville, Texas. A native of Vinton, Louisiana, he lived in Beaumont for many years and was retired from Oil and Gas Supply in Houston. Survivors include his wife of seventy-one years, Jewell Berry of Beaumont; daughters, Shirley West and her husband Bob of Warren and Dotsie West of Houston; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Ratzlaff of Eureka, California. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 21, 2004 at Broussard's, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday evening, August 20, 2004 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
