The daughter of Ernst Rudolph Klopmeier and Marie "Mary" Tuetken, Mayme married Herbert James "Herb" Elliott on 20 Jun 1919 in Bethalto, Madison County, Illinois. They were the parents of 2 children.

The Elliotts moved to Wood River in 1920. Mayme was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church there.

She worked in the Dietary Department of Wood River Township Hospital in Wood River, Illinois for 14 years.

Herb passed away on 08 Oct 1963.

Mayme died at Wood River Township Hospital at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 27 days.

She was survived by 1 daughter, Audrey Adcock of Vacaville, California; 1 son, Keith Elliott of Rosewood Heights, Illinois; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 1 brother, Fred Klopmeier of Edwardsville, Illinois; and 2 sisters, Tillie Neunaber of Bethalto, Illinois, and Ellen Montgomery of Edwardsville.

Visitation was held at Marks Mortuary on 16 Feb 1971. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. the following afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wood River.
