Eva Duda Thomas, 80, of Plains Township, died Saturday, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Mountain Springs, Nov. 28, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Moysey "Michael" and Pearl Dolinska Duda and was educated in the Plains Township schools.

Before her retirement, she was employed in the garment industry, retiring from Sharon Lee in Plains Township.

She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers' Union.

She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wilkes Barre, as well as the Apostleship of Prayer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A.; brothers, Michael and Paul Duda; sisters, Mrs. Catherine Bardar, Mrs. Mary Bogdanowitz and Mrs. Anna Labuda.

Surviving are children, Joseph G. and Patricia, both at home; brother, Peter Duda, Wilkes Barre; several nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home Inc., 136 Maffett St., Plains Township, with a Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, North River Street, Wilkes Barre. The Rev. Alex Burak, pastor, will officiate.

Interment will be in Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Plains Township.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. cq for Mon

A Parastas service will be held at 7:15 p.m. today with the Rev. Burak officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, William Black Medical Research Building, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, 650 West 168th St., New York.
