Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer (Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois), Saturday, January 24, 1970:
   Adolph C. Hellmann, 80, Route 1, Worden, died today in his home after an illness of several months. He had returned home two weeks ago from St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland.
   Born June 16, 1889, in Hamel Township, he was a son of Henry and Emma Roffman Hellmann.
   He was married to Lillian Reising on Jan. 22, 1919, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hamel. She survives.
   He also leaves sons, Harold Hellmann and Arnold Hellmann, both at home, Edwin Hellmann and Louis Hellmann, both of Route 1, Worden, and Carl Hellmann of Orange, Calif.; daughters, Mrs. Norman (Esther) Uphoff of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Elsie Hellmann at home; Mrs. Ralph (Mildred) Turley of Bedford, Tex., Mrs. Earl (Irma) Wuehler of Granite City and Mrs. William (Lucille) Masters of Hazelwood, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; brothers, Oscar Hellmann, Route 1, Worden; Reinhardt Hellmann of Worden and Gustav Hellmann of Edwardsville, and a sister, Auguste Hellmann of Staunton.
   Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hamel. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
   Friends may call at the Dauderman Funeral Home in Hamel after 2 p.m. Monday.
