She was born June 7, 1921, in Hamel, IL., the daughter of Adolph and Lillian (Reising) Hellmann.
Elsie was born on the family farm and attended St. Paul Lutheran School. She worked at Southwestern Bell as an Operator for 35 years in St. Louis, MO. She moved back to the family farm in 1968 to care for her parents. She moved to Highland Health Care Center in 2005. She enjoyed sewing and loved to garden.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL.
Survivors include Brother-Arnold F. Hellmann of Worden, Ill., Brother-Edwin G. (Nancy) Hellmann of Glen Carbon, Ill., Brother-Carl H. (Marlene) Hellmann of Worden, Ill., Brother-Louis A. (Pat) Hellmann of Worden, Ill., Sister-Esther C. Uphoff of Richmond Hills, Texas, Sister-Mildred B. Turley of Hurst, Texas, Sister-Irma E. Wuehler of Granite City, Ill., Sister-Lucille C. (William) Masters of Town and Country, Mo., and several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her parents and Brother-Harold O. Hellmann, who died 10/5/93.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL., with Rev. William Weedon and Rev. Charles Lehmann, Vicar of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Hamel, IL., officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Hamel, Ill.
