Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.
Julia was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Slater, Mo., to Phillip A. Ryan and Carrie Alice (Jones) Ryan. In addition to raising her family, Julia was a 40 year volunteer for CampFire; as well as on the parish councils for Holy Cross and Assumption (later St. Anthony's) churches and was in the mother's auxiliary for Boy Scout Troop 57.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in by her husband, J. Raymond Klassen in 1982 and brother, Marion Ryan.
Julia's survivors include two sons, Bernard Klassen and wife Kathy, Phil Klassen and wife Cathy; three daughters, Janet Erwin and husband Jackson, Melinda Elliott and husband Dean and Katie Klassen and husband Todd Carmichael; two brothers, Donald Ryan and John Ryan; sister-in- law Jan Seaman and 11 grandchildren.
