Came to Arkansas from Kentucky in late 1830's, Married first to John Moore, who died about 1859, then to J.D. Puckett. Moved to Palo Pinto County, Texas about 1862. Survived Commanche Indian raid in 1863, when her parents house was attacked on Barton Creek. Married 1867 to Tisdale Gilbert Doty. Died of pneumonia. Her grave had a permanent marker placed in 1998, courtesy of Ruby Finch, her great-granddaughter.
