Alvin Tinker Bottazzi, 86 years 4 months 2 days, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. Alvin was the husband of Rose (Korich) Bottazzi for 45 years on August 29 and the late Mary (Johns) Bottazzi, who passed away in 1954. Born September 24, 1918 in Northampton, Mass., Alvin was a son of the late Carmen and Assunta (Pignatelli) Bottazzi. Alvin was a quality control inspector for Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 40 years before retiring in 1980. Alvin was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, Allentown. Alvin was a member of the Italian Club and the Cross Keys Club, both in Allentown, and a member of the Bellmont Bowling League, the Bellmont Golf League and was an avid golfer up to the age of 85. Alvin was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: Wife; son, Jerome of Allentown; daughter, Rosemary and her husband, William Eibach, and grandchildren, William and Angela Eibach, all of Whitehall; brothers, Aldo and his wife, Jeanette (Stocker) of Allentown, Raymond of Whitehall. Services: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, Kohut Funeral Home, 950 N. Front St., Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in the church. Call 7-9 p.m. Monday, January 31, with a vigil service at 8 p.m. and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment, with military honors, Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Contributions: To the church, c/o the funeral home, 18102-1912.
