Ann Burchick, 91, of New Kensington, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013. Born March 24, 1921, in Emeigh, Cambria County, to the late Pete and Ann Verostic Burchick, she was a secretary at Alcoa (Aluminum Company of America), New Kensington, for 35 years, from 1939 until 1974. Miss Burchick was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church of New Kensington and the Alcoa 25 Year Club. She traveled extensively throughout the world with a group of her friends. She was an avid golfer in her earlier years and enjoyed gardening, especially flower gardening in her later years. Surviving are her sister, Marie B. Grzybek, of Lower Burrell; nephews, Ronald S. (Marie) Grzybek, Joseph, James and Jeff Burchick; niece, Elaine Van Horn; great-nephew, Eric Van Horn; and great-niece, Casey Grzybeck. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Burchick. Viewing will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Mt.
