Thomas A. Barry Jr., husband of Elsie Shucker Barry, 624 Elm St., died Monday afternoon in the Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 56. He had been in poor health for eight months.
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Thomas A. and Mary Barry Barry.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, and the Keystone Gun Club. He was a retired employe of the Bethlehem Steel Corp.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are four children: Frances M., wife of Anthony A. Ficco Jr.; Mary Jane, wife of Robert M. Ficco; Lucille Ann, wife of Dennis Hauser, and Thomas A. Barry 3rd, all of Lebanon, and five grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, James W. Barry, and two sisters, Mrs. Delia Batz and Mrs. Rosemary Daubert, all of Lebanon, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held this morning in the Thompson Funeral Home for Thomas A. Barry Jr., 624 Elm St.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's School auditorium. The Rev. John Allen, assistant pastor, was the celebrant.
Interment was made in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Daubert, Timothy Barry, Thomas Batz, Irving Sellers Jr., Earl Shutter Jr. and Terrence Feeman, all nephews of the deceased.
