Clifford M. Hemel
DIGHTON - Clifford M. Hemel, 65, died Jan. 27,
1991, at St. Anthony's Hospital, Hays.

He was born Feb. 17, 1925, at Alamota, the son
of Jacob and Charlotte Voos Hemel. A lifetime
resident of Lane County, he was an
employee of the State Highway
Department.

He was a member of t h e First Christian
Church, American Legion Post No.190, and
was a past member of t h e Independent
Order of Odd Fellows Post No. 286, all at Dighton.

On Feb. 8,1986, he married Joan Dorothy
Farmer at Leoti. She survives. Other
survivors include: two sons, Richard,
Chapman, and Dale, Dighton; two brothers,
Reuben, Calista, and Ed, Dighton; six sisters,
Melva Knight, Apache Junction, Ariz., Ila
Boone, Calista, Bettie Murphy, Scott City,
Shirley Hmmel, Harper, Alice Quint, Napa,
Calif., and Linda Barlow, Anthony; and two grandchildren.

Graveside service will be a t 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday in the Dighton Memorial Cemetery,
Dighton, with the Rev. Paul Irwin and the
American Legion Post No. 190 presiding.
Memorials may be sent to the Clifford Hemel
Memorial Fund in care of the Boomhower
Funeral Home, Dighton.
