Julia, wife of Clarence Thompson, died at Los Angeles, California, Sept. 29, 1919, aged 36 years, 5 months and 15 days.
The deceased was born in the town of Adams, Green County, May 14, 1883. She was a daughter of the late S.H. Bohn and grew to womanhood in Argyle and vicinity.
She was married to Clarence Thompson, Feb. 12, 1908 and to them two children were born, Clay and Marie, and they with the sorrowing husband survive her.
She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. B.G. Vinger, of Poplar, Montana, Mrs. W.H. Flanagan and Mrs. George Vinger, of Hurdsfield, North Dakota. Her parents and one brother and one sister preceded her to the Great Beyond.
After her marriage to Mr. Thompson, they moved to Hurdsfield, North Dakota, and later to Erskine and Oslo, Minnesota, making the latter place their home until last January when they went to different place in Southern California for her health. She seemed to be benefitted for a time, but it was not to last, and she passed on to meet the rewards of a life well spent. She lived a conscientious Christian life, was a devoted wife and mother and universally loved and respected.
The remains were brought to Argyle for burial and the funeral was held on Monday. There were services at the home of O.J. Wahler at 1:30 and at the Lutheran church at 2 o'clock, and interment in Woodlawn cemetery. Rev. K.N. Rudie, pastor of the Lutheran church conducted the services.
