Roland was born in Warda, Texas on January 1, 1917, the son of the late Paul and Emma (Woyte) Bohot. He married Elna Helen Giese on November 7, 1937 at Prairie Valley Lutheran Church.
Roland served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated a welding fabrication business for twenty-five years. Roland enjoyed hunting mule deer in West Texas and crappie fishing with his friends. Working with his cattle was Roland's many joys in life. He loved his family; especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Harvey Bohot and wife, Darlene, of La Grange; four grandchildren: Julie Karstedt, Rene Dayan, Melanie Peterson, and Roger Bohot; two step grandchildren: Wade Schwake and Tracy Schwake Gall; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elna; son, Wallace Bohot; brother, Robert Bohot; two sisters: Joanna Hempel and Emilie Kasper.
