GANN VALLEY - Mrs. Anastasia Knippling of Gan Valley, died Sunday in the Prairie Good Samaritan Center, Miller, at the age of 89.
Funeral arrangements are pending with the Reck Funeral Home in Miller.

GANN VALLEY – Funeral mass for Mrs. Anastasia Knippling, 89, who died Sunday, will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Duncan Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Rosary will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Reck Funeral Chapel, Miller, with the Rev. Cletus Miller reciting. Friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
Anastasia M. Machovic was born March 4, 1888 to Franklin and Frances Machovic at Academy in Brule County. She moved with her family to Buffalo County in 1891 and she later homesteaded near Belle Fouche. On Feb. 26, 1924, she married Bennard F. Knippling at Stephan and they ranched in Buffalo County all their married life. Since 1974, Mrs. Knippling has resided in the Prairie Good Samaritan Center in Miller. She was a member of the Duncan Altar Society.
Survivors include one son, Paul, Gann Valley; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Etbauer, Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968, four brothers and two sisters.
