Art Gehring Rites Set for 1:30 Friday
Arthur H. Gehring, 62, a lifetime resident of Waseca county passed away at the Immanuel hospital, Mankato, on Monday, Feb. 1. Cause of death was complications after surgery. He had been ill for the past four years.
Funeral services have been set for 1:30 p. m. Friday, at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, with the Rev. E. H. Eifert in charge. Burial will be at Woodville cemetery. Acting as pallbearers will be Walter Michaelis, Chester Gehring, Ewald Gehring, Lowell Manke, Leonard Schlaak and Lester Schlaak.
Mr. Gehring was born in Wilton township June 8, 1897, the son of the late Henry Gehring and his wife Augusta. On January 11, 1922, he married Emilie Behr of Waseca. She survives as do thirteen children, Marlin and Mrs. Melvin Korman (Edna), Waseca; Virgil, Hayfield, Mrs. Marvin (Velma) Lohman, Janesville; Emery, Ellendale; Mrs. Arthur (Luverne) Krueger, Faribault; Orville, Greenville, S. C.; Lyle, Seattle, Wash.; Ronald, Minneapolis; and Norma, Gerald, Kenneth and Shirley at home.
There are also three sisters and three brothers, William, Lewis, and Mrs. Minnie Menke, Waseca; Mrs. Dora Raetz, Hydro, Okla.; and Charles and Elfa Gehring, Pasadena, Calif.
Friends may call at the Pfaff Funeral Home after Thursday noon.
