Mrs. Herman Exner, nee Anna Miksch, died at the St. Alexander Home for the Aged, Feb. 5, about 11 a.m. of old age. She had been an inmate of the institution for some time and suffered from heart trouble for many years, but had been in bed only since Monday, Feb. 2.
She was born April 14, 1840, near the town of Budweis, Bohemia, and therefore was nearly 80 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Anton Neuwirth in the old country and about 22 years ago she was married the second time to Henry Exner in New Ulm. This latter union was blessed with one son. Mrs. Exner is survived by seven grandchildren, all living here.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 7, at 8 a.m., at the hospital chapel and interment was made at the Catholic cemetery. John Rotering of Sleepy Eye, son-in-law of the deceased, attended the funeral.
