At Clara's 14th birthday time, most of the family along with Clara's paternal grandfather, Chesley Ward, moved to Fremont, Nebraska from Virginia. The parents and youngest children rode in the buggy followed by the oldest children and household possessions in a wagon, to the next county followed by the long trip to Fremont in a freight-like train.
Clara's passion all her life was flowers. Her gardens were dazzling. She worked hard as a florist, that being her career most of her lifetime. Her gracious contributions of flowers to churches and associations were long remembered.
She and her husband Fred "Fritz" Pscherer celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in November 1987.
Clara enjoyed all outdoor activities, including bowling and golfing and enjoyed going from Nebraska to Florida with a women's bowling team. Music was also a big enjoyment; an inherited aptitude.
Clara loved and was loved by all her family. She was the mother was five children; two died in childhood.
She was ready to be with our Lord Jesus and with loved ones who were waiting for her in heaven.
A graveside Inurnment Service was held March 1, 1988 at the Ridge Cemetery, Fremont, Nebraska officiated by the Rev. Cecil Bliss.
