Per the Times-Picayune (New Orleans, Louisiana), Tuesday, August 20, 1963, Page: 11 per article pertaining to the death of his son, Orlando, the article states [Orlando] was the son of the late Martin Gugel and Catherine Boehm Gugel, "his father [Martin] once served a tutor to the son of Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany and was also a member of the Royal German Guard."
