Marriage record revealed Godfried Warner and Lizzie Lutz applied for their marriage license on February 1 and married on February 12, 1882 in Lawrence County, Ohio.

Godfred was twenty-nine and Elizabeth was nineteen when they marred.

The 1900 census revealed Godford was a clerk and owned their house free from mortgage. They were living in Ironton, Ward 3, Lawrence County, Ohio. He was born in Germany in November 1852 and immigrated in 1880. Elizabeth was born in Germany in September 1862 and immigrated in 1865. They had been married eighteen years, had six children and six were still living. All their children were born in Ohio. Household members: Godford Warner (47), Elizabeth (37), Frances (15), Katie (12), Joseph (10), Lawrence (8) and Charles (4). Her brother, lived a few houses away.

The 1910 census revealed Godfred was a tree trimmer as a gardener working on his own account. Godfred He was naturalized and could not read or write. They had been married twenty-eight years, had six children and six were still living. Household members: Godfred (58), Elizabeth (48), Frances (25), Catherine (23), Joseph (20), Lawrence (17) and Charles (14). Elizabeth's widowed sister, Kate Sceres and family lived two doors away and Her widowed mother lived three doors away.

The 1920 census revealed Godfrey was a laborer at a foundry working for wages. They owned their home free of mortgage. Godfrey and Elizabeth were born in Luxembourg, Germany. Mrs. Elizabeth Warner, wife of Godfrey Warner, residing at 1218 Eighth Street passed away at her home 6:30 o'clock last evening after an extended illness with Bight's Disease. She is surrived by a husband and five children, three boys and two girls. The funeral arrangements have not yet been known pending the arrival of a sister from New York.}}

{{MRS. WERNER DIED RATHER SUDDENLY, A BELOVED WOMAN - Mrs. Elizabeth Werner, wife of Godfred Werner, die at about 9:30 pm Wednesday. She was stricken with a sudden illness while on her way to church, death being due to Bright's Disease.

Mrs. Werner was a daughter of the late Mrs. Catherine Lutz, deceased, and was 58 years of age on the 17 day of October. Besides her husband she is survived by five children, Mrs. George Mander of Marion, N.Y., Mrs. William Fillgrove of Ironton, Joseph Werner of Ashland, KY., Lawrence and Charles at home. One daughter Mrs. Adolph Albright deceased. She is also survived by two sisters; Mrs. Catherine Sierer and Mrs. Christine Cooper and two brothers, Lawrence and George Lutz all of Ironton.

Mrs. Werner was a devout catholic and a member of St. Joseph's parish.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made pending the arrival of a daughter, Mrs. George Mander of Marion, New York.

Lizzie Lutz, as we all knew her was surely one of gods noble women. We had known her from our earliest youth and she was ever the same sweet patient and sacrificing sole. She was an ideal mother a true faithful wife, a kind considerate friend and a companionable, loveable neighbor. Many people throughout the city will learn of her death with deep and genuine regret.}}
