Mrs. Christina Fessler, 71, widow of the late Anton Fessler, died last night at the homestead farm of her son Frank on Route 1, Manitowoc, at Alverno. She had been in failing health for the last two years.

The maiden name of the deceased was Christina Trost and she was born in the town of Newton. Fifty years ago she was married to Anton Fessler. They took up their home on the present homestead farm in the town of Manitowoc Rapids. Mr. Fessler died in 1915.

Seven sons, Joseph, William, John and Norbert of this city, Charles and Frank on Route 1 and (next line illegible) Mrs. Walter Baryenbruch, city, and Mrs. Louis Ewald of Milwaukee, two brothers, Joseph Trost of Sheboygan and George of Newton, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ruchhoeft, Route 1, and Sister Evelyn of the Silver Lake convent and 13 grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday from the home of the son Frank and from St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Silver Lake with interment in that cemetery.
