VIENNA - Pauline Kinder Jones Burgess, 81, of Vienna, passed away at 12:50 a.m. on Tuesday, March 05, 2013 at Heartland Regional Hospital, Marion.
Pauline was born November 4, 1931 in Alto Pass to Harry Lewis and Ada Mae (Tellor) Kinder.
She met the love of her life, Wesley Loren Jones, at a skating rink. They later married on September 11, 1948 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1995. They were blessed with four children.
Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Wesley Steven and Darla Jones of Buncombe; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Yvonne Jones Shipman of Kevil, Kentucky, Rhonda Gayle Jones and David P. Webb of Vienna, and Connie Lynn Jones Ury of Vienna; grandchildren, Sarah and Mark Hicks, Lindsey and Todd Childers, Grace and Justin Koehler, Greg and Merissa Ury, Andrea and Frank Rice, Timothy and Stacy Webb, Nathan and Jennifer Webb, Jeffrey and Sarah Jones and Travis and Danielle Jones; great grandchildren, Zoe and Gabriella Hicks, Clayton and Trenton Childers, Drew, Max, Gabron and Nadia Koehler, Keegan and Kanon Jones, Ayva and Emma Rush, Brittany, Makayla, Ethan, Nick and Dillon Rice, Haylee Raye, Loren David, Landon, Natalie and Hunter Webb and Zachary and Cody Ury; great great-grandchild, Grasyn Davie Flora.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Wesley Jones, her second husband, Cletus Burgess, a brother, Hubert Lee Kinder a sister, Wilma Jean Kinder Schaefer and a son-in-law, Larry Joe Shipman.
She worked as a homemaker and farmer for 47 years. You could always find her working side by side with her husband, Wesley, on the farm. She had several hobbies which included, gardening and caring for her beautiful rose garden, crocheting, line-dancing and fishing with family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family. God, her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life.
She was a member of the Mt Zion Baptist Church and the Sunday school teacher of the youth group. She always enjoyed participating with the youth with all activities, including swimming, bowling and roller skating in her younger years.
Pauline was beloved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Mt Zion Cemetery, in Buncombe on the Vienna blacktop, with Reverend's Kevin McNeely and Jim Shipley officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mt Zion Baptist Church or the Mt Zion Cemetery, and will be accepted by Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale.
