Also found in the same paper: Mrs. Carolina M. Berg, the widow of the late Mr. G. T. Berg, died yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at her home 1912 Park street. She was 69 years of age and had resided in Columbia nearly all her life. For several months she had been in declining health and being of a frail constitution was unable to cope with her disease. Mrs. Berg was a daughter of Washington Muller, well known in education circles in his day. He was at one time a member of the faculty of the Lexington Institute and late of the Columbia Female academy. Her husband, who was at one time a prominent architect in Columbia, died about one year ago. She was confirmed in the Lutheran church in Charleston by the late Rev. Dr. Bachman. When she removed to Columbia she identified herself with Ebenezer Lutheran church and was always an intelligent, faithful and consecrated member. Mrs. Berg is survived by six children: John, Arthur, Richard, Oscar and Misses Clara and Helen Berg, all of who reside in this city. Those who will act as pallbearers are: Messrs. W. F. Stieglitz, A. H. Bull, F. W. Seegers, Martin Stork, Henry Cathcart and R. S. Bollinger.
This person is not listed in the Elmwood Cemetery books, therefore, square and plot number are unknown. Three of her children are buried together. It is possible that she is buried with them in an unmarked grave.
