Mrs. John Rischette, Formerly of Here, Buried at Almena

Relatives & friends were greatly shocked last Wednesday to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. JOHN RISCHETTE of Almena, WI., which occurred in a Rice Lake hospital Oct. 6. Mrs. Rischette had undergone surgery a week previously & was to leave for her home that day. The nuns coming into her room early in the morning discovered she had passed away in her sleep.

Mrs. Rischette, nee MAYME BEISSEL, was the daughter of M/M FRANK A. BEISSEL of Hastings. She was one of a family of 10 children. Following her birth, Aug. 1, 1891 in Hastings the family moved onto a farm in the New Trier community where she grew to womanhood. Her marriage to JOHN RISCHETTE was solemnized Oct. 17, 1912 in St. Mathias church, Hampton & the young couple established their home on an acreage in Castle Rock. Her they resided until about 1930, when they moved to Almena, WI., where they purchased a farm of their own.

Nine children were born to the RISCHETTEs, 7 sons, & 2 daughters. Of these one son & one daughter preceded their mother in death. Surviving are FRANK, JOSEPH, NICHOLAS, WILLIAM, JOHN, PAUL, ROSELLA (NICHOLAS) FEIDT, all of the Almena community, & they with their father are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife & mother. Other immediate family members are her aged parents M/M FRANK A. BEISSEL SR. of Hastings, 5 brothers JOSEPH, MAX, FRED, GEORGE of Hastings & JOHN of Vermillion; four sisters MAGDELENE (JOHN) SIEBENALER, CHRISTINE (JOSEPH) CRAPPS, Hastings, KATHERINE (PETER) OHNSTAD, Cannon Falls, ROSE (R. H.) THAYER, of Chicago, Ill. & 5 grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted Sat. morning at 9:30 from the Catholic church in Almena & burial was made in the cemetery at that place.

Attending the final obsequies & paying their respects at the home from this community were her parents; all the brothers & sisters, together with their families. Mrs. HORACE KEETLY, FRANK & JEROME SIEBENALER, Mrs. V. L. ROTHER, M/M V.E. ROTHER, M/M WILLIAM RISCHETTE, M/M JAMES BROWN, MADELINE RISCHETTE & JACOB KNEIFEL.

When word of Mrs. Rischette's death reached this community, Wed. her sister Mrs. OHNSTED & husband had left Cannon Falls on a trip to S.D. Through the cooperation of Hastings police& the county sheriff they were located in S.D. Mrs. OHNSTED arriving in Almena in time for the funeral.
